CLAY EDWARDS is a partner who has been with the firm since 1995. He is licensed in both Kentucky and Indiana.  He practices insurance defense litigation and trial work primarily in the areas of medical malpractice, personal injury, premises liability, workers’ compensation, product liability and insurance coverage.  Clay has tried numerous cases to verdict as lead counsel for physicians and other medical care providers throughout Kentucky and Indiana.  He has successfully argued appellate cases before the Kentucky Court of Appeals, Kentucky Supreme Court and United States Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.  Clay has also served as a frequent speaker to physicians groups in the areas of risk management and medical malpractice litigation.  He was recently named a 2012 Kentucky Super Lawyer in the area of medical malpractice defense.  In addition, he was also recognized in the 2012 Edition of The Best Lawyers in America.  He graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Arts degree and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Louisville School of Law, where he was Executive Editor for the law review.  Clay is married and has two boys.  In addition, he has previously served on the Board of Directors for both the Cabbage Patch Settlement House and Exploited Children’s Help Organization.
