Clay Edwards and Morgan Blind successfully defended an Indiana family medicine physician against claims for medical malpractice in Dearborn Superior Court. Plaintiff alleged that Defendant incorrectly assessed his complaint of chest pain and failed to diagnose him with unstable angina which led to his death. Edwards and Blind argued that Plaintiff’s complaint of chest pain was correctly assessed as GERD based on the information provided by Plaintiff to Defendant.  The defense argued that Plaintiff was contributorily negligent by failing to provide complete and accurate information to Defendant.   The jury agreed with Edwards and Blind and rendered a unanimous verdict in favor of the Defendant.
