During a two-week trial in Jefferson Circuit Court, Joshua Davis, Andie Camden and Caroline Bruenderman successfully defended a Kentucky anesthesiologist, three CRNAs and practice group against claims for medical malpractice. They also obtained dismissal for an orthopedic surgeon before trial began. Plaintiff alleged that she experienced intraoperative awareness due to negligent anesthesia care during an orthopedic surgery. Josh, Andie and Caroline established that although Plaintiff did experience intraoperative awareness and resulting post-traumatic stress disorder, the anesthesia providers properly monitored Plaintiff and timely responded when her total intravenous anesthesia IV infiltrated. The jury rendered a verdict in favor of the defendant providers.
