In October 2015, Noel Halpin obtained a unanimous defense verdict for a National Retailer in a slip and fall case in Federal Court in Louisville in October 2015. The Plaintiff claimed that the store was negligent for not noticing and cleaning up a brown sticky substance on the white tiled floor that caused the Plaintiff to fall. She claimed a hip injury that ultimately required surgery and continued to cause hip and back pain. The store proved that there was no sticky substance on the floor and that the hip complaint was not caused by the fall. The jury agreed and returned with a unanimous defense verdict.
