CLAUDE O. TACKETT grew up in the eastern Kentucky coalfields of Pike County. He received a BS in Industrial Technology from Morehead State University and worked for several years as an engineer prior to attending law school. He graduated from the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville in 1999 and began his practice as a litigator in Louisville. Subsequently, he moved to and practiced law in the South Carolina low country of Charleston for a decade but returned to Louisville in 2021. His areas of practice include medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, land use and zoning, and general liability.

Outside of work, Claude enjoys spending time with his wife Laurie, their four children, and Boykin spaniel Bosco. Claude is an avid golfer and enjoys all things outdoors.
