JOHN SHOCKLEY was born in Marietta, Georgia but raised in Lexington, Kentucky. He attended Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas where he obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Kentucky. He joined O’Bryan, Brown & Toner as an associate attorney in 2019 after clerking with the firm during his first summer of law school.
John is licensed to practice in both Kentucky and Indiana. His primary areas of practice include insurance defense litigation with a focus on medical malpractice, long term care/nursing home negligence, the defense of general civil liability claims, and § 1983 federal claims.
Outside of the office, John enjoys spending time with family and friends, golfing, traveling, and cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats and TCU Horned Frogs.
